I had a keratosis on my arm that needed to be taken care of. My regular dr. closed his practice so I went to dr. Holmes. I’ve had a couple of these before and it’s usually a Simple hydrocortisone injection to get rid of them. She insisted I have it biopsied which I thought it was going to be a small sample or a scraping, but when it was done, the assistant excised almost the entire thing. Entirely unprofessional and quite possibly the worst doctor's visit I've ever had. I was supposed to see the doctor (as I had an appointment with her) but only saw her assistant. The only time I saw the doctor was when she entered the room when I was naked waiting for the assistant to come back to do a full-body exam. She didn't knock, didn't introduce herself, and said she was only there to pick up a few items from the room. It was mortifying. I only found out afterwards she was the doctor I was supposed to see. I have been with Dr. Holmes for approximately 10 years. Staff is always friendly and Dr. Holmes is extremely personable and knowledgeable. The new location on Connecticut Ave is upscale. Just had my annual skin cancer screening and received a Vi Peel which has refreshed my skin. I can’t wait to go back for my complexion blending package.
Dr Holmes is my family dermatologist and has been for many years. She cares about her patients and takes the time needed to listen to concerts and answer questions. I saw reviews complaining about her billing service. I had an error once on my account but she was corrected the problem right away. Anyway I am glad for her and us that she has a promising new billing service
Dr. Holmes is very nice and well trained in diagnosing skin conditions and conventional "medicine." However, her billing department is vicious. Even if you do a payment plan and pay as agreed they will ruin your credit by sending you to collections over $30! Additionally, eczema is an immune disease which must be healed through an organic diet and total detoxification. It can be caused by stress, or more often, environmental factors such as allergies. Her office staff are professional and friendly. If you do not enjoy any facet of your experience they will definitely make it right! Appointments are kept on time and billing is excellent as well.
My experience with Dr. Holmes has been nothing but stellar! In my 8+ years of seeing her, she always has had a patient and kind bedside manner. She takes the time to explain her medical recommendations in correlation to my aesthetic goals. Her medical expertise in skin care, anti-aging, and overall Dermatology is like none other. With each appointment I have, she goes above and beyond to ensure my concerns are addressed! Highly Recommended!
I went to Dr. Holmes on the advice of a friend when I noticed a rash on my upper back. Dr. Holmes' staff was professional and an appointment was scheduled within an hour. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Holmes' assistance Caroline first and she immediately explained what the rash was. Dr. Holmes came in and we talked about a diagnosis, next steps and prescriptions that would ease the pain and hopefully clear the rash. Dr. Holmes and her staff are professional and knowledgeable.
