I joined the YMCA as soon as I retired. All of the classes I've participated in have been great! All of the instructors are friendly & very encouraging. The weight training keeps me strong & the Zumba classes are refreshing. All classes have young & older participants and everyone encourages each other. I've made some new friends & reconnected with others. If I can't go or am on vacation I truly miss it! I highly recommend it!
The temperature is way too hot for people exercising!! There is no changing room for the swimmers in the pool area, thus the downstairs temperature in the hallway is 76 degrees to keep them warm as they walk through with wet bathing suits. That temperature permeates the locker room, the studio, and the base camp areas, making it difficult for the temperatures to be regulated in those areas for exercise classes and individual workouts. Great gym and a great environment to work out in. I enjoy the classes and the instructors push you to be the best you can be. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for classes, weight training and other amenities.
Great place to work out with so much to offer, especially the classes. New Breed boxing is absolutely amazing. Coach V is a excellent instructor. He really helped me turn my life around. I can't wait to get back in the gym. I recommend New Breed at the YMCA to anyone who's looking to get in shape, get their boxing game up and meet good people. Top notch training and fitness.
Great place and they even have a boxing program. New Breed Boxing coach Virgil is knowledgeable , trains you hard and is a good dude, I highly recommend.
Two months ago, I signed up for the YMCA, and I went on a tour. On the tour, I was shown The new breed boxing gym, and I instantly fell in love. I absolutely loved the vibe, the positive energy, and the feeling I felt stepping foot in that room. I have two kids one who's going to be 10 and the other is going to be 2. I've decided that I'm tried of being over weight and the time is now to get back into shape. I kept seeing advertisement for New Breed boxing. I told myself that I was going to do it. I called in December and in the second week of January I signed up for a membership at YMCA and joined the New Breed boxing Family. Coach V is an amazing coach. He's very understanding to your needs.
