I love YDTR! I've lived here for 19 years and have always enjoyed going in to the tap room. The atmosphere, the beer selection, the food, the ambience have never let me down. I enjoyed taking people who have never been to the East Coast to New York-New Jersey- Princeton into the Yankee Doodle Tap Room so that they can experience a great environment and that beautiful Norman Rockwell painting and seeing the pictures of all the famous Princeton University alumni. Went there Saturday the 17th, for my wife and I's first dinner together as husband and wife. We were lucky to have Loren as our server, she was extremely nice and attentive and really made is feel special. The food was amazing and we will definitely be coming back even though we don't live close by, it's that good.
If you order your child pasta with vegetables in butter sauce off the kids menu, and they bring you no vegetables, and blame the menu for being wrong and say that kids didn't like the vegetables anyway, then the best you're going to get from me is two stars. Service has always tended slow at the taproom, and my latest visit was no exception. Good thing they have a charming patio.

Service extremely slow, food is ok, nothing spectacular. Not recommended. There are plenty restaurants in Princeton area much better
