my new favorite dim sum. mmmm – my new favorite shu-mai and taro cakes. my new favorite dim sum after years of st. louis and chicago dim sum. this is my new favorite and love the convenient location too. i am definitely planning to be going every sunday!
Best Dim Sum, excellent Asian food, great customer service, friendly staff, no smoking (good!), nice ambiance – I totally disagree with "nirv" in that review. The Yangtze has excellent food, etc. and has won awards for their Dim Sum and Best Asian Restaurant and I think that is more important than one bad review. We have been going to the Yangtze since it opened in 1982 and surely wouldn't have kept such a faithful return if the food and service and ambiance weren't up to par. We go there once or twice a week for either dine... read more
Sub par. – I'm a huge fan of typical Chinese food: Chicken Chow Mein, chicken fried rice and Cream Cheese Won Tons. I tried all of these in 1 trip to Yangtze a few weeks ago and was disappointed because nothing I ordered was better than the Great Pearl in Brooklyn Park. (763) 566-1990. The food was very salty and the cream cheese won tons especially were pretty terrible. They were too hard, small, and difficult to eat. The won tons found at the Great Pearl are the best I've ever had in Minnesota. You can shove an entire won... read more
I have been going to the Yangtze for over the last 20 plus years and since the first time I tried their sesame shrimp I have yet to find another restaurant that even comes close to creating a dish that pales in comparison. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for very good Chinese food. Since I have moved, down to the Jordan area I don’t get up there that much but every now and than I make the journey and drive the 30 plus miles just for their food for it is that good!
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Chinese restaurant near Highway 100 and I-394 serves classics such as moo shu pork, orange duck and Szechuan lamb.
My Favorite Chinese Restaurant – My family has been going to Yangtze for the last 24 years and has never been disappointed once. We have tried everything on the menu and their Dim Sum is the best in town. Highly recommend their fabulous Spicy House Shrimp, Volcano Chicken and Imperial Beef. Yangtze is GREAT for any occasion.
Dim Sum and More – The Dim Sum on Saturday and Sunday is great! If you are adventurous try the chicken feet.
My favorite dim sum spot in the Twin Cities – Everytime when I come to the Twin Cities, I have to stop by for some Dim Sum.
One of the best chinese restaraunts – I have never ever had a bad dish at here! The pan fried noodles are incredible so are their egg rolls and vegetable and tofu soup. The service is always great, you know you are going to have a fabulous meal when you go there!
