The owners of Yamashiro Hollywood took out Paycheck Protection Plan loan and then offered their servers/hosts/bartenders jobs as plumbers and electricians. Since those jobs require professional training and certification, the staff was forced to lose their jobs AND risk losing unemployment benefits. And it’s a taxpayer-funded, forgiveable loan.
