best around This place is a pleasure to shop at because they have so many options. The hard part for me is limiting myself to buying just the plants I will have time to plant when I get home. The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable. If you can't find what you're looking for here, it's probably not available in the area. PROS: selection CONS:
Great place to check out exotic plants You can find better selection here than other nursary. It is fun to visit and just check out all the different kinds of trees and flowers here. The staff is very knowledgable. The one down side to this place would be the price.
Incredible selection of high quality plants Yamagami's has a large selection of high quality plants and unusual varieties. In addition, their staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to share their advice. They also have a nice selection of fountains and garden accessories.
Good Fruit I've always been impressed by the good service at Yamagamis. The salespeople are consistently both helpful and friendly. All the fruit trees I have bought from them have been healthy, and produced a lot of good fruit. I've purchased japanese maples, blossoming cherries, and meyer lemons from them, and would definitely go back for more.
Excellent Nursery Yamagami's is well-known for the high quality of their nursery items. Whether you are looking for fruit trees, flowers, plants, etc., Yamagami's is the place to go. Their staff is very knowledgeable - and their prices tend to be on the high side.
Lots of selection When we first bought our house, we went here almost every weekend. They have a lot of selections especially in their 4" and 1 gallon perenials. Their staff knows a lot about garden problems and are very helpful. If you get on their mailing list, you can find out about their plant sales where there are some really good deals. This nursery is more expensive than Summer Wind or Home Depot, but it's a lot more fun to shop here and you can get things you can't get other places.
