My recent follow-up experience with Yale Sleep Medicine was disappointing and reflected a lack of basic patient-centered communication and consistent clinical standards. I arrived for what I understood would be a routine follow-up appointment with my established physician. Instead, I was assigned to a doctor I had never met, without any advance notification. I'm sad to share that I would recommend anywhere besides this sleep center. I have mutliple friends who have needed sleep studies and I always steer them far away from this sleep center. It is impossible to contact them, as the phones almost always (during business hours) just go on hold and then say they'll call back later (which they never will). MyChart messages will go unanswered. I had my CPAP stolen from the trunk of a rental car and when I contacted this office, there was absolutely no support or even compassion. No o... read more

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. First of all Dr. Shukla was very rude, basically denying my symptoms and arguing with me about how I felt. I have already been treated for my condition and improved immensely, but Dr. Shukla insisted on disagreeing with my previous diagnosis just because my sleep latency Is a couple minutes longer than what the Insurance companies need to cover my expensive medication (which has been helping me immensely).
