I checked in for my tonsillectomy, having provided the name I would preferred to be called instead of my full name. (I’m a transgender male and already feel extremely unsafe with the state of this country at the moment) The receptionists blatantly ignored that request and made sure to loudly call me by my full name in the waiting room multiple times which causes a lot of people to stare, as I don’t look like someone with that name would normally look anymore.
