Long time patient – I have been a patient of Dr. Howard's for at least 20 years. I've never had any problems with him or his son (Dr. Brian) or the staff. I see the reviews are old and I'm going to assume the ones within months of each other may be when their website went up...that's how I got here.

somewhat sketchy – I've gone to Woolf & Woolf once for an eye exam, and they were totally pleasant and professional. BUT it kinda sketches me out that there are a ton of five-star reviews from folks, many within one month of each other, all by people who have never written another Citysearch review. I guess it's possible that Drs. Woolf inspire such loyalty, but it's also possible that there's some Internet sneakiness afoot.

Life Changer – First: they have a real credit card machine, but it doesn't print a receipt. That's why they use the old school carbon paper. Second: staff was nice enough to me. I can see where there could be a problem for people who don't treat the staff well. They'll give the doc a hard time, so they won't be afraid to do the same to you. Third: Best eye exam I've ever had. I've always had great vision, but I had a nagging problem with one eye. Other doc's have recommended glasses or told me my vision is fine. He's the ONL... read more

I just wanted to say that I had a good experience at my visit. The Doctor was very professional and knowledgeable. I read the review about the front desk staff, but I'd already made my appointment. I agree, they're not super-friendly or very helpful. But I went in to see the Doctor, not the front desk ladies. I'll go again - he's worth it.

Don't waste your time like I did – I read these reviews and decided to go to Dr. Woolf because everyone seemed to like him. They told me they couldn't send me an e-mail because they didn't use computers. Being a support tech, this didn't fill me with confidence. The Dr. was great, we had a nice talk about my eyes. Later, after at least 5 phone calls between 2 different staff people and a hand written FAX which was undecipherable and finally a typed FAX. I had them order me a trial pair of contacts. We had decided my insuranc... read more

Nice Work – Yesterday I had an exam with Dr. Woolf and I was very pleased. He actually took some time to talk about my eye health and my prescription. The last eye doctor I went through basically just wanted to sell me expensive glasses and then usher me out of the office. I thought that Dr. Woolf was very patient with me and listened well.

sheesh – I recently went to this office and had an overall mediocre experience. The receptionist was rude, the selection was limited and, although polite, the doctor seemed preoccupied and arrogant. This struck me as another normal visit to the eye doctor until I stumbled upon this website. Seven almost identical stellar reviews written within 1 month of each other? Speechless...

Best Care for Problem Eyes – I have been suffering from poor vision, and I was always told that there was nothing else that could be done to help me see clearly. One of my friends recommended that I see Dr. Howard Woolf to see if he could help. During the exam, he looked in my eyes, had me sit at some machines so that he could take pictures (I got a polariod!!) of the back of my eye and then ran some tests. We realized that I'd been wearing the wrong kind of glasses and lenses my whole life... I'm not sure how the other doct... read more

Good experience – I had a good experience with my doctor. They have a good selection of glasses - I was able to find something pretty quickly. A little more $$ than Lens Crafters, but on the other hand, I got glasses that are really high quality and the lenses don't feel like they're about to pop out of the frame.
