Sandwiches come in your choice of brisket, pulled pork, turkey sausage, ham and burnt ends. Other items include specialty sandwiches, ribs and their famous three-bean chili, which is a luxurious stew topped with burnt ends. Woodyards is in Kansas, just over the border and if you can't make it out here, they also provide catering services.

It is hit or miss here. Usually the meals are good. Burnt end chili was good. The burnt end sandwich with coleslaw was ok but fell apart easy. They didn't have to go plates. Prices seem steep. I will try again and get some ribs. So at this point I give them a 3.75 star rating.
I ordered a pork sandwich, fries and coleslaw to go. I went to the park to eat my lunch. They gave me no fork or spoon or napkins. The sandwich had no BBQ sauce on it so it was dry. The coleslaw was a tiny amount for $2.65 and tasted blah. I got a few french fries for $2.95 cents. $15 and change for a crummy meal. Total rip off.
Great Kansas City barbecue! You get your monies worth without all the frills! Guy, Anthony and Andrew are all correct saying this is great barbecue.

Brisket sandwich was very tender and just the right amount of smoke! My husband loved the burnt end sandwich! Delicious!
Hubby & I split the 3meat platter! Food was great & had a great conversation with the owner! We will be back!
Genuine outdoor pit smoking here! A rarity these days. Great smoked meats!
