Finally! BBQ done right! Nice smoke taste, but not overbearing! (Every place we have tried is just a harsh smoky taste) Tried the ribs and brisket, looking forward to trying other items.
The burnt ends are unreal. Nice outdoor patio area that will be awesome in the summer. Great addition to downtown Clawson.
So glad you guys are finally open! Brisket was fork tender, Mac n Cheese was creamy and delicious, Greens were perfect and the Baked Beans are the best I've ever had! Can't wait for my next meal! Thank you for coming to Clawson!
Brisket was wonderful, tender, with a superb char on the outside, signature sauce has a nice zip to it. Cornbread = perfection.

All I can say is wow. I'm so glad this place is so close to my house! This is the best BBQ in Detroit. To say that this is the best restaurant BBQ that I've had feels like an insult. There is certainly an attention to detail and love that goes into each dish. The bark on the meat is fantastic. The brisket melts in your mouth, the ribs have a perfect rub with a great sweetness. I had the privilege of being their 1st Customer on opening day and OMG!! The food was awesome!! My wife is a letter carrier in the area and I surprised her with some too. Debbie agrees were hooked. Great job Woodpile BBQ.
Amazing BBQ way better than anything in the area, I have a good 30+ minute drive to get there, but will be going back again, and again. The baked beans were to die for, and I don't even like baked beans. Everything from the brisket to the ribs to the corn bread were amazing. The ice cream was also the bomb. com. I will be a repeat customer for life :)
Exactly what the area needs- tasty, fresh BBQ with a home cooked feel! The pulled pork was the best I've ever had, literally melting in my mouth and had a beautiful smoky flavor. I cannot wait to try everything else there! Prices are fair for the quality and the in and out is so convenient. Special shout out to Kelly for being the hostess with the mostess!
