Stay Away from Woodforest Bank Stay away. This is the only bank where they have to get approval to take a deposit. I understand why they are located in Wal-Mart. Based on the amount of the deposit you will have between 30 minutes to over 1 hour to shop in Wal-Mart. This is how long it will take for them to complete the deposit.
Woodforest National Bank is the BEST! I have been with Woodforest National Bank for over 4yrs now and have only had an issue with them once; which they took care of immediately. I bank in Carrollton, Farmers Branch and in Arlington and the customer service is great and the customer service is great at all 3 locations. Your money is always available immediately, but I have had a case where my check was held for 10 days. Woodforest National Bank is SCAM - RUN!! Went to the branch to cash from JP Morgan drawn on Chase Bank. The Branch manager proceeded to treat me like a criminal. He insisted on verify that the check was authentic and the account was active. After verifying that the account was active he still refused to cash it. Customer Service Rep (par excellent) When I first started banking there i was totally impressed with the services they had to offer.Since then i have experienced a lack of good customer service. Horrible Bank I used to work for them in Pennsylvania...not only did they give absolutely NO training, they hired a HORRIBLE manager for my location who was more excited about the McDonalds in the store than helping the retail bankers (and she wonders why she gained twenty pounds), their benefits were absoultely awful, and some of the employees shared PRIVATE information with their friends about customers accounts. NEVER get an account at Woodforest!!
