WNB is a joke I made a serious error of judgement when I opened an estate account @ WNB. EVERY single check,no matter how reputable the company, has been put on a 10 day hold.Today, I deposited what I hope is the last check. It was from the family attorney for part of a settlement. Check was drawn on another local bank, high check #, and from an extremely reliable firm. Guess I should be happy that today I only got a 7 day hold. Woodforest Bank NOT Worth the TROUBLE I closed my account at Woodforest. Woodforest charged me like $6.00 because my account balance fell under $100 during the month. That is a new policy that started back in June or May of 2010. Checkout it is the truth. This bank had made alot of money on me. They charge $5.00 for every document they notorize. At Bank of America notorizing is free to customers.
woodforest sucks okay yes the bank does have the right to collect on what you owe them. but when i first singed up they told me if i was to over draw on my account i had 7 days to have it payed back or every time my account was charged with out having the money in there they would charge me with a 34 dollor fee. my check hits every thrusday and yesterday i over drew and didnt mean to.. and the hit me with 2 over draft fees where did the 7 days go. it is only 2 to 3 days at the most... Great Bank!!! I love this bank, I have an overdraft limit that they will pay and I get paid on Thursday instead of Friday like everyone else at my company and that's because I have direct deposit. I have not had a bad experience I just wish they had more locations.
WOODFOREST BANK IS FOR LOSERS Whoever writes anything good about Woodforesrt is either theier employee or thier interner social media marketer . They are horrible customer service in texas whether it be dunvale location or sugarland Im always happy to see the consistency of their poor customer service. employees make you feel unwelcome keep chatting amongst thwmselves, WTF is wrong with their check deposit policy. Woodforest Bank takes care of its customers! I have been with Woodforest Bank in Maryland since Jan 1,2010. I was tired of being screwed over by Bank of Nazi's (America) and Walkoverya (Wachovia). Get educated I worked for Woodforest for years,they are a great company with great benefits and treat their employees well. Most people don't know how banks work...the thumbprints are not to make you feel like a criminal, it is standard procedure at almost every bank to take a thumbprint for non account holder because there is so much fraud associated with bank/check cashing...same reasons holds will be placed on larger checks, especially personal checks...you'd be surprised at how much fraud there is and how creative people... read more
Blah I have been looking at some of the post about Woodforest Bank, just have to say this. Did some of the people who complained about the fact it took blank amount of days to verify a check think that well the people out there hand out crazy fraud checks that resemble the real thing so the bank is covering their ass so that they won't have to either A. A Bank with Issues! Celina, OH- I do not bank with WNB and will never. I have rental properties and was given a check from here. Went to cash the check. I gave my drivers licence as requested, she did all the verifing and then handed me an ink pad and wanted me to finger print the check! For only $250! I don't bank there for a reason why would I give them my finger print. When this bank came into town local businesses wouldn't except checks from this bank. Now businesses won't except checks.
