My experience with Dr. Woods was beyond horrendous. After a consultation for surgery with him, I wouldn’t let that man put a bandaid on my arm. I was unable to voice my opinions due to him continuously speaking over me, and was essentially told that my daily struggles are inconsequential. If you are planning a visit to see him, please either bring a megaphone or be ready to sit down and shut up. Only saw the PA, who was really touchy that day. Very unprofessional attitude, never addressed the problem and became defensive when questioned. Then wrote it up all wrong. Save your money for someone who actually cares and listens. Wish I had read these reviews before I went there.
Terrible the worse office to work with in scheduling, absolutley terrible, gave up
My husband had an appt today, had an appt card, left work to go to appt, Miss Smarty Pants at the front desk told him he didn't have an appt for another 20 days, that the appt card 'wasn't her writing,' that he would have to come back. The other girls, the nurse practioner, Angela, all very nice. Have never seen the doctor yet. Not sure if my husband will go back if this continues. My GP Dr. sent me to Wood with a recurring sinus/ear infection that had been treated twice with antibiotics but returned in several months each time. Dr. Wood didn't seem to know what he was doing. He looked in my ear and final diagnoses was "live with it". Total waste of time and money. I went back to my GP for another round of antibiotics which are still working 4 months later. She will not be sending anyone to Wood again.
I waited for 6 weeks to get 2 appts for a SEVERE ear infection. Both appts ended up being with the P.A., who misdiagnosed by condition. I waited another couple of weeks to see Dr. Wood, During that time my ear drum perforated and I am experiencing severe pain and pressure and have lost all hearing in that ear. The 5 minutes Dr. Wood spent with me when I finally got to see him was for him to write a quick prescription without an explanation or apology. I am now going to go to a new doctor in Pgh.
The wait was long and he was super fast. However, he did a through job with my autistic son and my son tolerated him well.
Dr Wood diagnosed and has treated my meneires disease for over 10 years. He is compassionate and caring and dedicated to finding the most effective treatment plan.
I had a terrible experience with this office. I arrived early for my appointment and had to wait 20 minutes before I went to an exam room. The Dr. was in the room with me for less than 5 minutes total time. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes before I could check out with the office staff. The staff was rude and disorganized. I never even called for a follow up. I can't believe I pay for this type of service!
