Dr. Shelby, Leigh, and all the other staff at WK Eye Institute were absolutely amazing. I have been considering corrective surgery for over 2 years and finally did it. One of the best decisions ever!
RecommendedBest experience I’ve ever had. Quick, easy and virtually pain free. I didn’t have any pain throughout the entire process. Full disclosure, about 30 minutes after the procedure, I had a very slight discomfort, but not even enough to consider it to be pain. On a pain scale 1-10 with 10 being the worst, I’d consider it to be less than a 1. It didn’t last long and woke up the next morning feeling and seeing just fine! Thank you Dr. Wyche Coleman! I now have 20/15 vision.

Please tell your self pay patients the truth about billing. I was victimized and left with a traumatic cataract. I went to WK eye institute and told my bill would be a certain amount only to find out after the fact that was not true. Obviously if I had been told the actual amount my decision would have been different. I implore you to please give your self paying patients the opportunity to make a informed decision based on the true numbers. It's too late for me but maybe the next trusting soul will be spared. I would highly recommend Dr. Shelby, Dr. Lewis, Mrs. Leigh, and Mrs. Tanya. The office is amazing. They took great care of me for my SMILE surgery. Very professional and caring group of doctors and staff!!!!
I had SMILE surgery yesterday and it was the best decision ever. Dr. Shelby and Leigh were phenomenal. Feeling great at Post day 1. I wish I could have done it sooner. It’s definitely life changing. ❤️

I had LASIK done in June of 2018 by Dr. Shelby and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! The team amongst him and Dr. Lewis are one of a kind!!
Dr. Shelby did cataract surgery on both of my eyes in 2016. I’d had a completely detached retina and major eye surgery 4 years earlier, which caused me to get early cataracts. He implanted Toric accommodating lenses in my eyes that removed my astigmatism, and gave me 20/20 vision at all distances. Its been incredible how good the results have been. No glasses needed, I can read up close and see as far as the eye can see at long distances. My night vision is excellent. It was the best money I ever spent. Steve Arnold
