Staff do not respect customers business. I had a very disrespectful drive that ruined my trip. I will not use this company again and recommend you use a different company as well.
First time kayaking today and it was a blast!! Beautiful and cheap for 6 hours of fun!!
Used Wisners a dozen times. Always a great time. For those that gave bad reviews, try to remember that Wisners does not own the river. They do not control how high the water is or how fast it runs. Even at its slowest, the long trip only takes 4-5 hours, unless you spend 2 hours on Shotgun Island. I only have one issue with Wisners. I wish they made an effort to clean the tubes once in a while. If they do, they might want to do it more often.
They were extremely unorganized & uninformative. We were never helped or told anything after paying for the tubes. We ended up seeing a sign saying there was a fine if no life jackets were brought but we never were told or given any. Everyone there was confused and very unhelpful. I also asked numerous times when the last bus pick up time was and they said "they will always be there". Great staff-they answered all our questions. The river is beautiful-loads of wildlife-fish, turtles ducks. We had a large group-they gave us ropes so we could tether together. We took coolers and had a blast. Ages 61-1 ! We had tubes and a 3 man boat foe the coolers and the littles. Highly recommend this adventure for a very fun afternoon!
Went kayaking on the 4th of July knowing it would be busy and prepared to wait. It was very busy but we didn't wait at all! On the bus and on our way right at our reservation time. Staff was super friendly, helpful and quick. River was beautiful and we had an awesome trip. We've used kayak rental places all over the Midwest and Wisner's was by far the most efficient. Thanks Wisner's - we'll be back!
