About this business

A quintessential place for casual everyday comfort, with coffee bar, bakery, breakfast, lunch, dinner, frozen custard, beer, wine & weekend brunch. Like Tangletown Gardens' farming philosophy, we make our food as it was made long ago- when everyone ate organic, free range, locally grown food that wasn't fussy or high-end. It was just good food from scratch, every day. We bring guests back to this old standard of cooking using the season's best from our farm. Traditional grass fed burgers, hand cut fries, sandwiches, links, s... read more

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything was delicious. The zucchini cake with vanilla custard and hot fudge - A MUST.

Food was overpriced; a small square of egg bake ( they called it quiche) was $16. And the server was a bit pretentious. The outdoor patio is beautiful, however.

For example, blanched broccoli is tastier and digests better than raw. Same with kale. It’s better dressed with oil or massaged with avocado than plain raw. How about some jicama sticks instead of kale stems for the crudité. If the goal is to use all parts of the vegetables, please use... read more

I wish I could rate more than 5 stars. Your restaurant is simply amazing. The staff is friendly. The food is heavenly. You're chef is top notch and I could go on for days about how great your restaurant is. Your bacon is amazingly delectable and I was stunned to have such a liking to your Pint-O-Curds and Sausage with pickled veggies. Never have I tasted such an amazing combination of cheese, sausage, and pickled corn. The main course, like the appetizers, was amazing and just when you think you've had all the amazing food y... read more
