Winton's a disaster, dishonest Company Poor installatrion of air handler in my house's attic led to a big leak that severely damaged ceilings in my home. When called about the problem they wanted me to wait for a couple of days and turn off the air conditioning with temperatures of 95 degrees in the street and water coming down like rain from the ceiling. Poor warranty service I am sitting an 88 degree house for the fourth day waiting for Winton's to respond. They have been out 5 times without fixing it correctly ( it never works more than a few hours)and they don't care because it's warranty work even though I I bought the unit from them and I have paid several hundred dollars to have a service contract with them for many years! There is no concern for my pet's or family's welfare!
SCAM, CON, FRAUD ARTISTS This company has come out twice over the last 12 years. I should have known to stay away the second time. The first time I believed what they said about mold/mildew and compressed coils and units not working (unit was cooling I was just doing a service). I signed up for service contract but cancelled that night after my husband researched them. (We were in time to cancel the credit card). Wintons Air Conditioning is Terrible! Winton's is a huge scam. They charge twice as much as other companies and don't return phone calls. The owner is always "in a meeting". I filed a complaint with the BBB and Winton's doesn't even respond to them. The people that wrote good reviews must work for them or aren't aware of their overcharges.
Wintons Air Conditioning is a rip off I just got ripped off by them. They came to do a nomal checkup and talked me into renewing a service contract that I paid $200 for. When he left my house began to get warmer so I called them back the next day. They couldn't come over the weekend and I had to wait until Monday. when the man showed up he said he recommended a dye pack that would cost me $232. and 4 pounds of freon at $65. per pound. Wintons Air Conditioning is Okay by Me Sounds like "QQ" got fired and is juuuuuuuust a little bitter. Why don't you look up your own nose before you insinuate things you think you know. And besides I bet you were the rude person mentioned that answered the phone when some of these people called for help - that is when you weren't too busy on Myspace to answer the phone or do your work. RIPPED OFF DO NOT EVER TRUST THIS COMPANY. I was ripped off. Used the coupon that they have in the flyer, what a mistake. End result is that it cost me over $ 900.00. They replaced one valve. Never saw the old part. When asked to see the part replaced the tech could not find it. Should have stayed with Him when He was working. Charged a staggering amout to replace freon, and forget about the price to put dye in the line to check for leaks.
