The Communication is terrible!! They change appointments without even calling you to tell you that they have!! I had a 7:45 am chemotherapy treatment today and I left there at 3:00 in the afternoon! I am still waiting to here from the Bone marrow transplant team that was supposed to call me the week of the 16th!! I have many people that need to be tested as Donors starting with my brother and if he is not a match, I have around 40 to 50 percent that would like to be tested!! Doctors, nurses, & staff are so attentive to individual patients' needs. Their compassion makes the patient feel at ease & that they are more important than just "another routine patient".

Treated here for Aplastic Anemia with bone marrow transplant. Excellent care, even several year post transplant.
The staff is supposed to be the best if the best. Whoever does the scheduling is grossly under qualified. My husband has stage 4 cancer with maybe a 15% chance of surviving it but every appointment he has with Emory we spend hours waiting. It doesn’t matter what time he is scheduled it is averaging 1 1/2 hours wait before procedures start, then he can wait for another hour for someone to read the results so we can leave. We have even been told to arrive 30 minutes before any staff is scheduled. This does nothing to help his ... read more
