After seeing Dr. Winke or her PA’s for months and after stringently following my pain medications prescribed dosages and frequencies; they decided to talk to me today like I was a druggie. Since “you broke your pain management contract and you were self medicating” we are going to have to switch your medicine. I ran out of my medicine 3 days early of my 30 day supply. I told them I refused to be in severe pain. No doctor should treat or speak to their patients in that manner! I would never use them if I were you! Their fro... read more
Had an appointment to see Dr James Sanderlin on Nov 30th 2020. I, got up at 5AM in the morning so that I could make surer that I be on time. It had been over a year since I had been to his office and the last time I went there his office was at Sentara Obici Hospital, 2790 Godwin Blvd, Suite 320. My appointment was 8:30AM, I arrived at Sentara Obici Hospital at 7:55AM. When I went into the hospital they ask who was I there to see I told them Dr James Sanderlin and they gave my husband and I a sticker to put on which stated I... read more
Everyone there is absolutely awesome. The doctors are very caring and they listen and they don't just rush you out. They are very thural. The staff or the sweetest people I have ever met and they are also very caring. I have nothing but good things to say about the doctors and the staff and what they have done for my life.
While I was a patient everything was fine. When I got hit by a car crossing the street I had periods of black outs and confusion. I had one of these episodes while at the hospital getting my stitches removed from my head and she labeled me an addict and flagged my chart so I cant find another pain management doctor. She offered me no other form of help. Becareful nothing happens to you!!!!
After a family member stole my pain meds (which were under lock and key), I had to submit a written report to Dr. Winke. Her nurse Susan assured me that this was just a "formality". Within a week I received a letter stating that I was no longer a patient there but no reason was given. Repeated calls and e-mails were ignored. Even my primary care physician stated that this type of behavior from her office was unfair and unprofessional.
