We all three enjoyed the outstanding service and the good food, made a birthday evening dinner very super!
This is my favorite wine bar. They don't give you canned flights; you have a full page of reds and a full page of whites to choose from and you can do a taste, a glass or a bottle. The servers are VERY knowledgable about the wines and extremely helpful if you want suggestions. Plus, the bar apps are killer since they come from the main Wink kitchen. I usually get the bruschetta, which changes daily, and the truffled mac and cheese, but everything is great. This is my #1 spot for catching up with friends or a first date.
We ate in the Wine Bar last night. Chorizo-chèvre stuffed squash special app was delicious. My wife had the foie gras, which was a delight and I had the sweetbreads which were perfectly prepared. Servers behind the bar were friendly and helpful with wine selections. This Wine Bar is an Austin gem. By the time we left, it was full of happy customers.
I have been for in for just wine or have dined in multiple times and always find its a pleasant atmosphere with great food.
