This was a very bad experience, and I would not trust this company with anything valuable. Multiple items were damaged through careless handling, including a treadmill cover, two acacia wood drawers, and part of an IKEA dresser, causing about $500 in damage. After four months of waiting, the owner offered only around $90 and repeatedly made promises to pick up and fix the damaged treadmill cover, but never followed through. Windy city movers doesn't even deserve 1 star. I scheduled a move 3 months ago, and even got a reminder for my upcoming move the day before I moved in. On the day I was supposed to move, the movers were a no-show. I called the owner, and he said I wasn't on the schedule, but I had 4 emails of proof of confirmation of the move, confirmation of booking, the moving estimate and a reminder of the move the day before.
