Dr. Simonek is awesome. Super super friendly, explained everything and enthusiastic! Only one exam room, which made the whole experience pleasant and private (it was calm and not hectic like it can be at other places). I ended up not buying frames there (but went to Gene Rogers instead), but they had a pretty good selection as far as my taste goes. Can't wait til my next eye exam!
This has been my optometrist since i moved downtown 4 years ago. I always have a great experience and great high end glasses options that stand out in the workplace. Every member of the staff gives 5 star service. Some boutique locations will bug the heck out of you and up sell you, but it is not the case here. If you need help, they are right with you, but if you are sorting through which frames fit you best, they will let you be. I'd recommend them to anyone downtown.
My family and I have been going to Dr. Kim for ages! I love that he allows walk-ins. Him and the staff are friendly and nice. I've been to several optometrists when I was living outside of LA, and none of them were able to get my gas-permeable contacts as fast and as comfortable.
