It is a wonderful organization.
The YMCA in Plum discriminates against Silver Sneakers participants through Highmark, which is hilarious, considering a Highmark person is on the Executive Board. So only the UPMC members can attend. Shame on you for playing into the long-running UPMC/Highmark feud and having seniors caught in the crossfire. In addition, the therapeutic pool is kept at a balmy 87 degrees, whereas this should be in the 92-93 and up range. FYI, I am a Silver Sneaker participant who is not able to participate in Sampson YMCA programs anymore since only UPMC insureds are eligible. However, I will be going to LA Fitness who honors Silver Sneakers for my aquatic exercise classes. How dare you help enable this monopoly hungry monster to dictate health and now fitness care in our area.

The youth camp IS A JOKE, they barely do 20% of what they advertise but if you show up 4 minutes late to pick your kid up, they wanna hit you for $15 but never mind the false advertising they never live up to... My kid has been to camp for 4 weeks and has gone swimming just twice and their "customer service" is a VERY unfunny joke! I won't be referring this place in the future!
