Decided to splurge this year for a Willie Turkey - I am left stunningly disappointed. I’ve toasted many birds over the years. The Willie bird was the toughest, least flavorful turkey I’ve offered up to family on Thanksgiving. Would never recommend buying from these folks. Hate to say that - I had high expectations. But this bird was the worst, at four times the cost.
I ordered one of these birds through Williams Sonoma for thanksgiving 2019. Ordered it on October. I watched shipping status and on Tuesday before thanksgiving it showed not shipped. I was assured by Williams that since it’s a food item, it won’t show shipped. I live in a small town and so I would have had to drive 2 hours each way to get a turkey. I was promised it would arrive Wednesday by 3 pm. Nope. No turkey. Williams Sonoma offered a 250 gift card for my trouble but then just never sent it. I tried calling willie bird ... read more
Apparently you can order a Turkey, they just wont ship the Turkey. Not sure who's fault this is, either Sysco's or Willie Birds but the lack of communication between the two is not acceptable.
