He did a total knee on me his surgical technique and bedside manner is extremely good. He is kind understanding, answers your questions, very competent, uses latest techniques such as robotics and is concerned about you as a person. My total surgical experience was very good.

Quite anxious about spine surgery, I found Dr. Sutherland immediately warm and disarming. I found him patiently receptive to my story as I unwound a long circuitous 4-year spinal journey leading up to our consult. He listened completely, giving me plenty of time to talk, ask questions, and express my anxiety. Very good session. Discussed hip and other issues. Developed a plan to address other items in a subsequent visit. Frustration: With masking, you ALL should be wearing a simple badge with your picture on it. Would be nice to be able to recognize you if we meet sometime. Very impersonal otherwise and could impact patient perspective for a less brash personality.
Dr.Sutherland and his assistant Barry installed my hip replacements back in 2009/2010. It was a great experience!! Great doctor!! Whenever I hear of someone in need of replacements Dr.Sutherland is who I recommend.
Dr. Sutherland is able to clearly explain causes, symptoms and options in a clear and concise way while being respectful, cordial and engaging. The office runs very efficiently, everyone is cheerful. Hard to do in the current environment. I am so thankful I overheard another patient singing his praises and I was lucky enough to be taken on as a new patient.
