I went to Dr. Nordt because G2 just wanted to cut my knee bones & re-attach with screws when their arthroscopic scoping of cartilage on 1 knee did not work. Dr. Nordt convinced me to get another round of scoping, but to both knees, saying my previous doctor wasn't aggressive enough with scoping. So instead of having 1 knee surgery that didn't work, I now have 3 that didn't help, cost thousands, & actually made my knees worse than before the surgeries. Seek another non-surgical opinion first!
I would highly recommend Dr. Nordt to anyone!!! I have had 4 surgeries ALL very successful!! Explains things well, interactions with my family well.
Dr Nordt is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. Being new to the Richmond area I needed help in finding the best doctor for two new knees. His expertise came highly recommend by friends. I had double knee surgery by Dr Nordt and his team. I am more than satisfied with the results. Dr.Nordt and his PA Chris provided excellent care. I highly recommend both of them.

Dr. Nordt performed total knee replacement surgery on both my knees in a one year period. He used the Mako robotic procedure and I had a totally positive outcome with each knee. Quick recovery and pain free now. Dr. Nordt is an awesome surgeon and listens to all your concerns. I would recommend Dr. Nordt to anyone who is seeking knee replacement surgery. Top notch.
Dr. Nordt is a caring, knowledgeable man. I’ve been seeing him for knee work including two challenging knee replacements. He he has always taken the time to really listen to me and to address complications. His support staff are excellent, also. If you need an orthopedic doctor, look no further. You’ve found him!
We were advised that our family member with special needs requires surgery to repair a meniscus tear. We Have been grappling with the decision. We visited Dr. Nordt for a third opinion. He took time with us and explained in great detail what we were dealing with. He was compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. We had seen other doctors but did not feel we knew enough to make an informed decision. After the visit, we knew better how to proceed. Highly recommended!
I feel like he listened to my ideas without trying to push me towards something I’m not quite ready for at this time. In the future I will trust him with my knee replacements. For the time being I am working on getting myself in the best shape I can be in before surgery and I am managing better with the cortisone shots.
Dr. Nordt is a very thorough provider. He listened and explained everything that I needed to know for my knee replacement. I felt like he cared and he wasn't in a hurry to move on
