I was in severe shoulder pain, keeping me up at night. Dr. Cooney ordered extensive X-rays and referred me to the back pain surgeon at the clinic because his analysis pointed more to my neck than to my shoulder. He then ordered an MRI and assured me that I would receive whatever help was required after the MRI was evaluated by the appropriate doctors in this facility. An MRi was ordered immediately and I was given an appointment for the next day.
I have seen Dr. Cooney 4 times. He is always very late for the appointment, rushes through the exam, and is curt and rude when addressing my questions. His bedside manner is totally absent. I found him to be egotistical and his brevity and lack of caring to be surprising. If he is this way before a surgery, what will he be like afterwards, especially if there are any problems?
Dr. Cooney replaced my shoulder joint and I’ve had such great success that I’m having him replace the other shoulder. Dr. Cooney has been wonderful to make sure I understood the process, had concerns addressed and was given sufficient post-op care both with him and through my physical therapist. He is easy to speak with, has great caring and compassion, and is very professional. I totally trust Dr. Cooney and highly recommend him.
A caring compassionate and skilled orthopod
This industry needs more personalized attention than other industries. In this office, more concern was given to "Billable Hours" than to even make or take a follow up phone call in a follow up attempt from an office visit to personalize the experience!! Absolutely NO care was offered in follow up to this patients visit! Unacceptable in health care...too personal of a field!
My visit with Dr Cooney was just what I needed. He is an exceptional listener. He helped me with an immediate plan and future plan to address my knee problems. I left the appointment feeling encouraged and motivated to get started. He and the other office staff work great together. Thanks Dr Cooney!!!
Dr Cooney will be performing what will be my second hip replacement and also did my shoulder surgery several years ago. Both surgeries went flawlessly. Very skilled surgeon. Attentive, answers all my questions.
Dr. Cooney's been my joint doctor since 2009. He's amazing! He tries all alternatives possible before performing surgery. His perfectionism assures all that you're receiving the best care possible! Really appreciate how he listens and cares and assesses my different issues accurately. E.g. when my hip/leg were giving me so much trouble, he diagnosed it to be my back, and it was! I'm so thankful for Dr. Cooney whom I can put my complete trust in. Tom Moore
Dr. Cooney preformed a total knee revision for me and did a wonderful job. From my very 1st appointment with Dr. Cooney I was very impressed with him and how he worked with me both pre-op and post op. I will recommend him to all my friends and family. Anyone needing and TNR or a revision please do yourself a favor and meet with Dr. Cooney, you will be glad you did.
