Dr. Bugbee has a philosphy of getting his patients back to the activities they miss because of severe arthritis of the knees. He felt I could get back to playing ice hockey, unlike many surgeons who would not instill that confidence. And after just six months of recovery I am back playing ice hockey at a fairly high amatuer level.

The outcome of my first knee replacement with Dr Bugbee was that the tibia piece came loose 6 months after the surgery. It was painful to walk after that. I had to give up all sports, and I was an athlete. Dr Bugbee did a revision surgery 3 years later and that surgery was a failure. Dr Bugbee came highly recommended from many friends, acquaintances and other Physicians. I needed both knees replaced and he recommended bi-lateral surgery for my case because he felt I was in good physical condition which would save me from having to go through two separate recoveries. All procedures have gone well from instructions through each process. Two plus years treatments from Cortisone to gel to surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Bugbee !
