What an experience this was spending time with the entire staff including guides (Jake was the greatest at insuring there weren't any disappointments as well as an abundance of fish)). The Chef was extremely creative with his meals and presentations) . The Deserts were equally primo and provided the crowning touch to the meals. Colleen is the exact person for the Leadership roll she has, always offering her suggestions for the most enjoyable stay. Great time bonding with our Son and his family. Great Place to make memories !
#1..you won’t regret a trip here!! From the staff, chefs, and guides..wow!! They are the friendliest and make sure it’s the greatest, most comfortable fun ever. And the fish😱 ..HUGE and lots of them. I recommend a trip of a lifetime!!
Best salmon fishing experience!!! Our guides, Ridge & Nick, were very helpful & put us right on the fish! Food is extraordinary!!
Just left WPL today. Can’t say enough good things about our stay except to say it wasn’t long enough! Location, food, accommodations, guides & staff, fishing...even the weather was great! Don’t pass up the opportunity to visit WPL.
Just got home from three wonderful days at WPL. Thanks to Colleen, Noah, Guide Cody, all of the kitchen staff (Chef Derek) and the maker of the wonderful deserts (Elizabeth) for showing us a spectacular time. Our first experience at a "fly in" fishing camp and it couldn't have been more beautiful. Three days was not nearly enough time. Food was excellent and plentiful. And oh those deserts. Hard to believe you could gain weight at a fishing camp. If you have the opportunity, you have to go.
We had a wonderful time at the Wilderness Place Lodge! Our guide, Max, was great. We learned new fishing techniques, caught lots of fish and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery. The food was incredible, the accommodations were awesome and the owners, other guides and crew were very helpful and friendly. Everything about the trip was A+. We would highly recommend a fishing trip to the Wilderness Place Lodge.
What an amazing experience! We chose WPL to celebrate our son's high school graduation and boy did we...it was a trip of a lifetime, for not only him, but all three of us!!! From meeting the guides at the plane, three days of fishing with Max, the wonderful meals and lodging we could not have asked for more. The icing on the cake was how wonderful the staff was...each and every person there delivered top notch customer service. Now to figure out how to get back!!! ;-)
I like Wilderness Place Lodge so much, my wife and I are going back again! 3 straight years and she loves it! Jason, Cory and the entire team at the lodge feel like long time friends and they are friends. We can't wait for the float plane to hit the river on Saturday morning! Then it's FISH ON!!! Great place, great fishing, great food, cold beer and Chardonnay!
