Average food + great atmosphere = good. The food is expensive and I will have to try more things on the menu to give a honest review. It is decorated very interestingly including gigantic peacock pillars, The staff is super friendly.

Over an hour wait for food (two sandwiches and nachos) that came out with a giant hair in it. Nothing like biting into that sandwich youve been waiting over an hour for and getting dental flossed. We along with a few others that day got our money back. We asked to tell a manager, never saw one. We left comments about the one disaster after another, never heard a response. Great atmosphere. We just happened upon the Wilde Roast Cafe while searching for breakfast. We had no idea what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised at the laid back and cozy cozy cozy atmosphere. I had the egg and sausage skillet and Angie had the scrambled eggs with ham. The portions are extremely generous and neither of us could finish our plates. We were so stuffed we could only just pop open our buckles, enjoy our coffees and read the paper until we could mobilize ourselves back to the car. What a bad taste in my mouth. I went on a tuesday night, it was not even busy and no one paid attention to me standing at the counter. when they finally found me they were rude. they also messed up my order... thanks for wasting my time and money!
The food at Wilde Roast is as good as the ambiance. Theres a lovely fireplace, overstuffed leather chairs, and even the regular tables are nicely appointed. But the service...? Slow!!! Go here only if you have time to relax.
One of my favorite places to relax and visit with friends in the Twin Cities. Plus, they have free off-street parking (a rarity in that neighborhood). Great desserts, awesome atmosphere, friendly service, free wireless high-speed internet, and it even has clean bathrooms! :) I love to stop in Sunday mornings for their Oscars Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant and a cup of dark roast coffee. Yummy!! If youre looking for good book, check out the adjoining bookstore. All around, a wonderful spot!!
Great deli food here, highly recommended.
I have only visited twice, but have loved it both times. The latte was great, the grilled cheese w/apples and dijon, wonderful. I cant express how much I enjoyed/savored the carrot cake, and decor. Two staff members were amazingly friendly, and the other two, not so much. I guess that sort of balances out. Cant wait to visit again.
