While I have truly supported Wholey’s for decades my food experience today was beyond poor quality. The Sea-Bak shrimp burger was HORRIBLE! Nothing but fried cornmeal and spices. Very little shrimp and a TON of the mango salsa smeared on it 🤮 ABSOLUTELY INEDIBLE!!! I also purchased the cod and some butterfly shrimp. While the shrimp never disappoint the fish this time was very salty and greasy. So upset that I spent that much money on food that will be thrown away. 😔
RecommendedWe went to Wholey's today specifically to buy a couple boxes of breaded oysters that my husband loves. We were only able to find breaded oysters in a bag that didn't look at all like he wanted. We pulled a clerk aside and asked and he let us know that he hadn't seen the boxed oysters since at least November. Pretty awesome! Wandered here accidentally and knew immediately I found one of the treasures of Pittsburgh. Fresh and frozen fish options galore with a quick and friendly kitchen line if you want some to eat right away. Their homemade sauces are off the hook. But there’s more! A beautiful grocery store is on the other side of the market! Fresh meats and veggies and everything you could want. Super busy on the weekends but still worth it. Enough so that I will be stopping by again during the week to really explore.
