Whittier Hearing Center has done an exceptional job ensuring my father, Joseph S., has received the best hearing care. He recently went in to have his hearing aids refurbished and ended up with a brand new pair with the most current technology. The staff and audiologist are very professional and friendly. Perhaps I visited WHC on one of their "off" days? I felt like I was with a pushy car salesman. The experience made me commit to mega research before a purchase. What I learned is that the the thousands of dollars you pay is for the audiologist's service, versus the product itself. Since I download and use free audio editing software in my computer - elaborate equalizers, noise reduction, compression, etc - I suspected that the hearing aids themselves do not cost thousands of dollars.
