A Sunday morning tradition for my wife and I. Great food. Great service. Great people.
Go here maybe once a month with mom and the very friendly blonde waitress always remembers who gets reg and who gets the decaf and she knows mom prefers her eggs Benedict with sausage instead of the Canadian bacon. Now that's a good waitress!!! Love this place. Everything else in Grayslake is getting too pricey.
I eat here every week. If not twice a week because they are great enough to host our exchange club meeting on the top floor. The people are the most gracious, real people you know. They are hard working. They have STEPPED up their salad menu and I LOVE the grilled chicken salad. This is a classic "diner" feel with history. The homemade soup is outstanding <3 . I have had more breakfast meetings here than I could ever count. And every Thursday we have lunch here. My families favorite is always the homemade soup. It's different every day and it's served hot and delicious. The service Is always delivered with a smile and it's conveniently located right off of Center Street in downtown Grayslake. The owner is almost always on site and that makes a difference in how are restaurant performs.
This is a favorite of mine. I love to take one of the kids there with me for a little time with Dad and some breakfast any time of the day. They recognize us now and always treat us fairly. Their prices are reasonable as well, not like most suburban haunts. It's only open 'til 8PM each day, except for Sunday when it closes at 6PM.
