Burgers and fries were great, staff was great. They were extremely busy, so it took 45 minutes to get our food.
Everyone talks about the limited seating. It's part of it's charm. The other is the quality food and the great service. They have a cherry pie there that will kill ya. Can't really recommend this place enough, it's just wonderful.
Burger was excellent. Bathroom was disgusting though....
My husband and I are so disappointed, as we drove an hour and will not go back. We were excited to try Whitehouse after seeing it on one of the cooking shows as a highlighted little Dive being the best. It is tiny inside, and when we went in, two tables were available, but it was gorgeous outside and we went to dine on the patio. From the time we got there until we got our food was 45 minutes. Real Diners are so hard to find anymore....this is a real Diner that also has a Chef who owns it that throws in Modern and more exotic specials in addition to diner favorites
Best olive burgers since the old Kewpie Burgers. Everyone needs to check this place out (preferably on a beautiful day when you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery).
I've always found that the best hamburgers come out of little white buildings like this place, The Whitehouse Restaurant in Clare, Michigan. It's a tiny, tiny little place with a few booths and the grill literally five feet away from your table! Try to sit outside if you can, it was a gorgeous day for lunch out back. I had an olive burger, a Michigan staple that I associate with a small chain of restaurants in Flint.
