Why not write a review from 35, 40 and 45 years ago? My grandma and grandpa used to live here and it was a wonderful place. Great neighbors, nice doorman and so many wonderful smells coming from alllll over the building and neighborhood. My grandparents cooked the best dinners, had the best burnt bagels anywhere in NY, we had the greatest family gatherings, always walked to attend services nearby and they had so much wonderful costume jewelry for us to use for playing dress up. As an international student and a single woman moving to New York in search for establishing my identity further , I was really nervous to move to a sketchy or noisy neighborhood in Queens . I truly like the staff of this management. Very caring and responsive. The thing I like the most about them is that they listen to my problems and try to solve at best of their ability and that is very rare about any management in nyc. Building was great when first moved in over 6 years ago, but has horribly declined. Laundry mat is filthy and the machines never work. Instead of replacing them with new ones they just try to save money by having someone fix them. There is always never a doorman in front in the mornings even though there are 3 door men who work different shifts.
