I've stayed at 4-5 star hotels, however the experience here gave me the feel of relaxation in easier and slower times. Very peaceful and relaxing. Nice bar by the pool with music and happy hour appetizers. The restaurant was very good and reasonable. First time in Sanibel and Willis definitely stay again

Stayed last summer for the 4th of July. Enjoyed every moment of it!!! Hope to do it again this year :)
Well, you just have to know your standards and expectations. As someone else stated it ain't a 4 star experience. So if you're looking for Hilton on the cheap you will be disappointed. But if you aren't really fussy about your accommodations and are satisfied with the bare bones, then you can't beat the location. And it is cheaper than nicer places. It's not my speed but that doesn't make it bad.
A last-minute stay on a trip that came out of nowhere absolutely phenomenal place to stay.
We just stayed here for a few days a couple of weeks ago, and had an amazing time. The landscaping is lush & green, and the pool was clean & amazing. The rooms are very nice as well as the screened porches. This place is pretty much paradise on earth and we plan on returning.
The West Wind Inn is located in a great location, and has a wonderful pool and restaurant BUT the staff are not friendly, the beds are very uncomfortable, the bathrooms are tiny & the air conditioning is VERY loud. I stayed here in October and November 2016 but if you want some sleep, stay elsewhere as the air conditioning and bed will keep you awake. RecommendedAwesome place, right on the beach! Sea shell heaven�� the current of the ocean makes the shells from all over, wash up here! Guaranteed you will be taking pictures of the shells! Guaranteed you will have a great time on Sanibel Island!!
Have not gotten a chance to stay here yet, but took a walk around the grounds and took a look at a few rooms and the were all very clean. Beach is an easy walk. Live music and happy hours at night. Had breakfast in the restaurant on the grounds and it was also clean with fast friendly service. I am looking forward to staying here and giving it a try.
