The experience and the journey I've been on while at Morgantown Sober Living goes beyond words. I really wasn't sure what to expect.. I mean I've been in "recovery" houses before. But nothing like the love and unity of MSL. I've learned recovery by watching the staff live theirs.They've become a huge asset in my support group because I know I can trust them and they genuinely care. I'm learning a new way of life and have nothing but gratitude to express for the time I've spent here.
I have only been at the women's house for about a month but I am grateful for what it has already done for me. Recovery is first & foremost with everybody here. It's nice to live with people that are striving for the same thing I am. The structure & accountability is exactly what I need. I'm blessed to have the opportunity to be here & I can't wait to see what else is in store for me on my journey here! Thanks to all the staff! This is an amazing place & I love it!
I lived at MSL for 6 months. I have got to say it was the best decision of my life when I made the call to Morgantown Sober Living. This place changed my life forever!! They keep You actively working and in the NA or AA Program which is very good. When people ask me how I went about getting my Life back together after 15 years of active Drinking and Drug use, I always tell them to get to this place if they are serious and stick with it. Thanks Doug, Jon, and Joe Bird. I hope the best for this place!!
I lived here for 9 months from august 2015 until may 2016.. What a great experience!! When starting my journey into recovery I knew there would be certain aspects of my living situation which could only benefit me.. these included a positive peer based environment,,a focus on living in harmony with spiritual principles, a dedication to work and meetings, and a strong support base... these things I definitely found at MSL.. the foundation I built in recovery while living there has helped keep me clean and sober to this day.. ... read more
When I first got clean in this area Morgantown Sober Living had a men's facility, and I got to witness the difference it made in the lives of my peers in the recovery community. I would visit the house and see men working recovery programs in safe, secure environment. Since the women's facility has opened, I've been given the opportunity to be here and help other women find recovery. It's been absolutely amazing to watch these women grow in a structured, yet free environment. I really wish this option would've been available... read more
