This was the worst shopping experience of my life. I can’t believe I wasted and hour drive to this West Marine. There wasn’t anyone around to help for my first 20 mins in the store, was not greeted when I walked in and I walk to the cashier 3 times (he was with someone else) he didn’t not ex knowledge me one time or even look up for that matter. I purchased an Airhead towable tube from West Marine. I used it twice with my teenage daughters and began to tear. Within a few weeks I attempted to take it back to West Marine. I was told that I had to deal with Airhead directly. I was also told by the manager at West Marine that the reason is that these tubes often have problems. I wonder why they continue to sell them if they have problems. I have attempted to contact Airhead and cannot get ahold of anyone in the warranty department. Friendly and Helpful. During this pandemic time, I found their restroom facilities to be so well kept and comfortable. (Not the case in many Public Facilities in Marathon!). It was a pleasure to use West Marine for my boating necessities.

Today was my first time in the store and one of the female employees went above and beyond for us. She was the SWEETEST lady. And just a wonderful person to be around. She had a huge smile on her face and was very happy to take our items and ring them up. We got the wrong size and instantly turned out while in the parking and she was so helpful and understand and let us do the exchange and we were back on our way. Employees are rude. Not helpful in the least bit. When asked about paint and gel coat was told to just go on the website figure out what you need and call back and tell me what you need. Let the employee know I wasn’t tech savvy and was trying to gel coat my freshwater boat and need to know what I needed in order to do so. Again I was directed to go online and research.
