Hands down the worst hotel ever. Beds were too firm to the point that my body has been literally aching all week from the crap sleep. Awkward room layouts and super outdated furniture. 2/3’s of the staff seemed to hate their jobs and weren’t very helpful (probably just not paid enough). But the worst of alll? The fact that the hotel is very poorly sound proofed and there’s an open air bar right next to the property. I had a tidy room at this property for a work trip. I would stay here again. On this particular trip, the power went out for a several block radius due to an underground fire. The utility spent nearly 48 hours working around the clock to get power restored, but it did mean I ended up having to leave this property. To that end, the staff working at this property were all delightful in accommodating my move and refunding my remaining nights. Let me start by saying, I am a loyal Hilton customer. With numerous college kids and kids in travel sports, we are frequent travelers. I stayed at this hotel in Feb 2023 and had no issues. Therefore, booked again for a stay Feb 15-17 2025 and it was a completely different experience. Check-in on a Saturday afternoon for 2 hotel rooms went smoothly. I don’t recommend this hotel for two reasons. The guy at check in was rude. He asked entirely too many personal questions to a female traveler. He made me unbelievably uncomfortable. He also refused to acknowledge that I was a Diamond member and refused to give me the $15 breakfast credit that comes with being a diamond member. To me, it was a small gesture to someone stranded for several extra days in DC, but he was steadfast in his commitment to acting like a jerk.
