Worth the wait. Great place for breakfast and excellent coffee. Friendly servers and hosts. Try the black bean cakes and the shrimp and grits.
The food and atmosphere are great, however organization and service are seriously lacking. In a half empty restaurant we were completely ignored for a full 45 minutes after we ordered. No coffee or water refills, nobody checking on us, nothing. We watched tables that arrived 30 minutes after us receive their food and still nothing. **GREAT FOOD, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, VINTAGE SHOPPING.. 45 MINUTE WAIT TIME**
Food was good but getting a table was a long wait. We had a group of 8 and Management allowed 2 people to sit at a table for 10! Those people tied up the table for 90 minutes, even after management told them a big party was waiting. These customers were very rude and management could do nothing.
Every year we fly into Atlanta, GA from Dallas, TX, the Weat Egg Cafe is our first stop. Delicious breakfast and great service.
Coffee shop? Well, they do, in fact, have coffee... but that SO does not begin to describe this fantastic spot! On Sunday we got there shortly after they opened and were far from being the first. It fills quickly, but wait around. I promise you will be happy you did. Short rib, steak and eggs, chiliquiles, benedict, and banana bread French toast...
