The owner Norma is not a talented hairstylist and it seems like her daughter gets special treatment as a stylist there. The turnover rate seems to be pretty high, and although the prices are fair, I have Never felt like my service was that great. The receptionists can get snippy and don't like when stylists try and help check out customers. When I asked what salon my stylist went to they seemed very upset, which tells me all they care about is money. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I admire the stylist and what she did with my hair was very awesome. I highly recommend this hair Designs. Really worth your time and money.

I've been to 5 or 6 different stylists there over the years. Service is good, but stylist vision is mediocre at best

Notably good service experience New to Indianapolis, needed a new style, color and lo-lites. I had to rely on the online yellow pages to find a salon that I would feel comfortable going to and was reasonable in both price and distance. My first experience was with a often spoke of DLLowry (?) and I ended up spending alot of money for someone else's misinterpreted "vision" of what I wanted. West 86th Hair was a relief! A local favorite of mine Great experience at this salon. The upscale environment without the stuffyness is great. It seems all of the stylists have been there for a long time. I liked their website, west86thhair.com also.
