It's a sad thing when a perfectly loving family that has had more then enough experience with having dogs gets denied to adopt! These poor pups that could have forever homes shouldn't be still locked up because of self riotous people that work there... It's really unfortunate
My husband basically covered it. I will just say, if you have a dog that you feel shouldn't be adopted by a family with children then DO NOT allow that family to meet the dog and become attached before telling them they can't have the dog. Had this dog bitten one of my children during our visit and you were fully aware it shouldn't be around kids..........You waited until after my kids hugged and kissed the dog to tell us she shouldn't be with kids?!?!?! This shelter is the reason people buy dogs rather than adopt. They do not use common sense and make the adoption process extremely difficult. I would not recommend anyone try to adopt an animal from this shelter.
We adopted our little guy from mt. Pleasant, he is in great health, he's so sweet and we can't imagine our life without him! We're forever grateful thank you so much! We highly recommend choosing this shelter!
We adopted "Snubbs" whom we renamed Scraps. Shannon was excellent and this is by far, the best shelter we have been to, which is why we adopted him with no fuss! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a dog or cat. We LOVE Scraps and had a wonderful experience adopting him.
After adopting two amazing cats from them over the years, and donating THOUSANDS of dollars to them via two personal businesses and personal assets, as well as having my daughter make goodie bags for them to sell during Christmas, they slapped us in the face. We recently fell on hard times and to cheer my daughter up, I decided a puppy was the answer.
