RecommendedI adopted my best friend Barkley (formally Thor) from mt pleasant about a year and a half ago. The adoption process was very easy, took him home the same day. He had a few missteps early on but I believe it was from his trouble as a young pup. He was only 11 months when I adopted him and he was rescued from North Carolina. Wonderful caring worker who love and care for all the dogs and cats
We adopted our dog there this month and had a wonderful experience! The staff was so helpful and honest in the process and it was much appreciated. They really seem to want the best for their animals and will do everything in their power to find them a fur ever home. Our quirky little Maddox is an amazing addition to our family and we have Mt Pleasant and their staff to thank.
There are so many things I could say but most importantly they need to keep the objective of maintaining animal welfare as the number one concern and not the number of animals adopted out to inappropriate adopters to make money and numbers. These helpless beings depend on the rescue world to protect them not subject them to danger. I will do everything in my power to spread the word to stay away from MPAS until there are some very BIG changes
We recently adopt Sadie from the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. We could not be happier. She fit right in with our family. The staff were so helpful and kind and made the adoption process pleasant.
