I would recommend Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter to anyone looking for a dog or cat. This clean facility employs a team of friendly and caring staff. The staff makes it a priority to know each animal. I just adopted Felicia (now Olive), a beautiful cat with some social issues. With the knowledge and patience of Alex, I was able to make Olive a part of my family. Thank you Alex and team!
We have been in a few times to look for a just right pup for our family, but today I really feel the need to post just how amazing ALL of the staff are. You are always so helpful and genuinely happy to be there and to help the animals find homes. Today, the NICEST volunteer helped us see Simba. Unfortunately, we weren’t a perfect fit, but we will absolutely continue our search with you. Thanks for all you do!
I adopted a dog from here and she changed my life. She brightens up the whole house. Everyone is happy and out anxiety and depression has decreased tremendously. I highly recommend adopting
It's been four days since we adopted our Chewie (formerly Odin) and so far we love him. Thanks to Mt. Pleasant for rescuing all these animals and finding them new homes.
What a wonderful experience adopting our new love from Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter!! The staff is outstanding - Abby and Dean were helpful, kind, friendly and clearly care for, know and really love the animals in their care. We are so happy with our new kitty, Maisie, and may be back for more! You folks are awesome!
I love this shelter, and all the workers - they are so caring and committed to helping the animal find their forever homes. The facility is clean, the animals are taken such good care of, and given lots of love. The engage with the community, and put on wonderful events. I have nothing but positive things to say about this shelter!
I did everything I had to do with spending time with the dog but the dog was so naughty when we took her home. I stayed touch with the shelter for help but they could only advice me what to do. I had a trainer help me but this dog was so stubborn. She tore up two sofas and all of my throw pillows. I tried crating her when not home but she did these things under my watchful eye!
