We continue our mission by taking care of displaced pets, rescuing injured and lost animals, continuing our spay/neuter program, investigating cruelties and finding homes for the orphaned animals.

the prices to adopt a animal is a little steep as in 380 to adopt a puppy , which i could afford but i decided to adopt one from my local town. the adoption fee wasn't really high.puppys here are 350 plus and older dogs are way less. make one easy price for all animals and alot more of them would get adopted .
They are awesome!! We adopted Daphne renamed her Grace in December and we just love her... She is a rescue dog from Texas... Couldn't imagine life with out her!!
I have recused pups from this shelter before. the people are awesome. I would definitely recommend this place..

WVHS is here to help the animals frist I recommend them for their helping hand in the community. Adopted don't shop.
WVH is a KILL shelter. Not just in situations where options are limited either. They would rather kill a dog who needs some work rather than working to find a loving home. I've personally seen this. I just transported a loving dog who was deemed to aggressive to save (they were literally hours, if not minutes away from killing him. He gave me kisses, instantly loved me. He also loves his new family (one member being a male). He sat in the animal control side for 5 weeks without them even trying to adopt him out! My heart bre... read more
We adopted "Cleopatra" the kitten, last Tuesday. Her name is now Zelda and she is blending in beautifully! Thank you!
