Dr. Smallwood is an angel! I always feel better after I see her. She is genuine, caring, compassionate, and a great listener and communicator. I trust and value everything she tells me. She is without question the best doctor I have been blessed with. My daughter has just aged out of pediatric care and will begin seeing Dr. Smallwood as her PCP. All other staff I have interacted with at her office are helpful, pleasant, and professional.
Do not have any test or xray done at this hospital without having the price verified first. I hade one xray done on my leg and I was out of pocket $3,200 for it after the insurance deductible. I have had this same xray done in a doctors office many times before and it was included in the offiice visit fee. Will never go there again. Emory Johns Creek is a far better choice if you are in the Alpharetta area
I had the worst experience at this hospital and I have been to a lot of Wellstar hospital but Douglas has been the most rudest of them all. The er department omg the worst it looks like when they see another nurse talking rude to you they will not address the issue. I learn that if you don’t take these reviews seriously this hospital is going to have a serious law suit on there hands because we are supposed to feel safe. The nurse Robert going to tell me I could speak to my son and the ln the nurse tashan going to tell me it... read more
Stay away from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Have the ambulance take you anywhere else. It would take way too long to tell how horrible being in Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is.
Terrible place. Dr gave my spouse medication that has negative side effects for headache sufferers, caused him to stay another night in hospital. The next day the nurse tried to give him same medication, when he refused she threw the pill across the tray. They made sure to charge for both pills and the additional stay and unwilling to work with financial plan. He is a cancer patient and unemployed but Wellstar wants payment in full because he can't provide pay stubs.
Went in for heart bypass. They did that and left blood clots almost died they cut me back open and fixed the problem the first doctor left a bleed on one vein also had a stroke in the process. Worst place in Georgia. Stay away form this place.
I was in hospital for artery value replacement. It was suppose to be a simple TAVR that is not open heart surgery. They sent me home next day, and I kept telling them after I went home that I was in severe pain, and my leg was black and blue all the way to my foot. The nurse did not listen and on the 3rd day after I came home i was in so much pain that i went by ambulance to emergency room where iI had to wait over an hour.. I was taken directly to surgery where I had to receive 3 pints of blood. The plug had come out and i ... read more
Terrible experience. They ran basic blood tests incorrectly three times. This resulted in our small child having to go back to the office to have blood drawn over and over and we never got the most important test ran. We begged doctors and nurses to make sure that the test would be run correctly. Each doctor and nurse said the same thing it’s not my fault and there is nothing that I can do. 6 weeks later our child’s health had continued to decline, we still don’t have the test run and now we are left waiting the practice ... read more
This office has been nothing but a pain since I started going to them. My first visit was a physical. I received a bill later from Quest diagnostics because the office ran the wrong test on me- one that wasn’t covered by insurance. It took months for them to acknowledge that they screwed up, and I don’t even think they completely took it off of my Quest account (their representative didn’t do something correctly.) I received a letter from a medication manufacturer stating that my insurance would no longer cover my prescrip... read more
