My wife was in the ER over 10 hours we waited for a room over 4 hours last two waited for a shift change so someone could clean the room we were told 30 minutes over an hour later still no room this is unsatisfactory and I will talk to my wife doctor about this as well

HORRIBLE Billing -- I have had very good luck with the doctors but the billing is awful. They cannot provide transaction history to show payments received and where credited. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BILLING. They also over-bill, double bill and then send items to collections that have already been paid in full. Thankfully I keep very detailed records. If my doctors were not great, I would never ever go to Wellstar again.

This review is for Wellstar in general. Wellstar has multiple problems, the system seems to be built around scheduling as many unnecessary appointments, tests and blood tests as humanly possible to ask of patients - patients that have no need to all these tests. I have had terrible experiences with doctors literally harassing me for blood tests every 3 months for maintenance medications that I have been taking for over 10 years. This place claims not for profit? Why do they disgustingly pad their bills so much with insurance fraud? They charged $260 for 1 Robaxin pill that cost less than .22 cents and $94.50 for a $7.84 pill of lyrica. Also they charged $556 for a 1 hour social worker visit who spent less than 15 min with me. Also, when you hit the nurse call no response even if someone did answer no one came to the room even if you called for an emergency.

My comments echo others I see. My wife went to Wellstar with a cold & sinus infection while travelling. She was not happy that there we no medications administered as we would expect to be typical. Realizing different physicians have different perspectives and opinions regarding steroids and antibiotics we decided to take the "wait & see approach" recommended. WORST BILLING DEPARTMENT EVER!!! Payment arrangement were set up for 2 ER visits on the Wellstar website. Wellstar faithfully debited my account for the arranged amount monthly. HOWEVER, these payments go to LALA land and are not accurately attached to your balance- so they send your accounts to their internal collections. Fortunately, I keep meticulous records and could prove that I made the arrangements and that I had paid the accounts in full. Do NOT go to this hospital. WellStar makes a procedure to keep babies in the intensive care unit for days unnecessarily to scam the insurance companies for tens of thousands of dollars. They basically held our baby hostage for money. We are filing a Better Business Bureau complaint as well as retaining a lawyer. If you refuse any of their added on for money scams they alert DEFACS illegally to your residence. DO NOT EVER HAVE ANY DEALINGS WITH THIS SCAM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I was a patient at Wellstar for about a year and my experience was NIGHTMARE. They consistently cancelled appointments, and then I had to call them repeatedly for *months* to reschedule. It took me months to get them to say how much a surgery would cost, and they finally told me $700. I paid that $700 and then they called and said the surgery would actually be $100,000 (!!). I asked for a refund since I could no longer get the surgery, and they said they would give it to me. I called and gave them my address, and have waited... read more

I would recommend to anyone that might read the statements that I'm going to make about Wellstar very seriously. Under NO circumstances go to these people for medical services. Please find another medical provider in your area. I have contacted my insurance carrier with issues concerning billing as well as an attorney. Wellstar has lied to me over and over again on billing issues and I'm going to do something about it. These people commit fraud on a daily basis hoping to steal money from patients.
