TOTALLY OVERPRICED! – I went here because it was recommened by the Jiffy Lube guys on North and Kingsbury. Well, they must be getting a kick back because the charges are totally over market. Even my the Honda dealer downtown was cheaper!!!! I went in for an anti-freeze leak and came out being told I needed new front brakes, should have my rear brakes services, a leak in an oil gasket (which would need the transmission taken out and flushed) Are you kidding me???? I was given an estimate to repair all the above......$1700!!! ... read more

Lifesavor! – Last week I parked my car and found a trail of fluid coming from my car. I walked across the street to Wells Automotive Service and asked them if they could take a look at my car. I needed to make my next sales call and was in a hurry. They pushed my car into the shop and put it up in the air to find out that the last facility that did my oil change did not torque my oil drain plug properly. Best auto repair service in the city!!! – My car broke down on the expressway, I called my roadservice company and the tow truck arrived shortly after it was Wells Automovtive. My roadside assistance sent me to a big name repair facility, after 2 days there I felt like I was being taken advantage of so I called my roadside assistance, again the Wells Automotive truck met me at the repair facility in a timely manner. Worst company ever!!! – I would avoid using Wells Automotive for anything! I was forced to use them to tow my Volkswagen Beetle, since it was the company Geico uses. They were given the name and address of my mechanic in Highland Park, but they dropped my car off at a nearby Volkswagen dealer instead. They did not even bother to check the drop off location to the address they were given. I was not happy – My company had our maintenance van towed to this company and they found the problem which was some of the electrical wires were chewed through by roddens. they said they fixed the problem and everything was fine. When we got the van from the shop my driver told me the van was running very badly, much worse than when we took it to them. We paid over $224.00 for the work and we are having much more problems then we had before they worked on it. I am going to a different shop and I do not recomend their servic... read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! – I used Wells Automotive towing service because I couldn't get my car to start and needed it towed to the dealership. The tow truck driver arrived an hour and fifteen minutes later, and proceeded to quickly back my car out of my garage and, in doing so, ran into a metal support poll of my neighbor's garage. wells auto service – Terrible. I used them despite reading the reviews here, shame on me. I took my car in, they caused more problems than they fixed...don't do what i did..DO NOT USE THEM. They are not honest and their mechanics are not knowledgeable.

Stay away - far away – They told me a year ago that I needed new brakes plus numerous other things. Now a year later and 13,600 miles later my dealer just told me that I have only 40 percent wear on my brakes. I don't trust these guys and wonder about the work they did for me in the past.

DO NOT Be taken in by these guys! – Wells Automotive should be avoided at all costs, especially if you are not familiar with cars or automotive repairs. The two brothers, Frank and Mike Guske, who apparently inherited or run the business for their father, are in a word, dishonest. I had my car towed to their shop after it broke down on the highway. Their towing staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, but the tow was overpriced at $80 + $4/mile. Things got worse once they looked at the car. I had a bad distributor cap, and ... read more
