In my working days with Diamond Shamrock, now Valero energy, I had a chance to work with many sign companies. My job was to identify every gas station, office, plant and etc. For some reason, I never worked with Welbourn Sign Co. However, since I have retired, I have watched many of Welbourn signs go up in Amarillo. A real eye catcher is the big historic “Paramount” sign on Polk street. Great work as this sign makes Polk street. I have taken photos of my 57 Ford with this sign in the background.
